Pauline Turner tributes

TRIBUTES TO PAULINE TURNER

I first came to know Pauline at the time of the 60th anniversary of the Queen's accession to the throne, in 2012.

Pauline was one of the team who organised a beautiful flower festival, showing All Saints' church in the best possible light. There were many group displays from the village and our own churches to mark the occasion - as well as organising, she created her own impressive display.

What impressed me so much was her compassion. I vividly recall an occasion when a very distressed lady entered church during a service: we all saw the issue, but Pauline was the one to respond - she rushed over and comforted her.  Pauline was one of life's 'doers' - she saw a need, and swiftly moved to address it, no matter how challenging the situation.

I will always remember her smiling face and cheery disposition. We are judged not merely by our worship, but in how we put Jesus's teachings into action in our everyday lives - and in Pauline we have lost the epitome of practical Christianity.

May God hold her safe and joyous in Heaven.

I shall miss Pauline very much, she made me very welcome to the church, we also had a mutual friend that treated both Pauline and Dot in very difficult times, so that made us even closer.  God bless and I will pray for her and her family.
